OK so they bring me to this house that has this black and white furry creature called a cat. I wanna be

friends with her but I’ve discovered a new game. It’s called chase the cat. While I was playing this I made a really weird sound. I’ve found my bark! Big Dog Human thinks it’s really funny, dunno why? Female Human is a little less impressed. As for Katie, she just hissed at me and that shut me up. I already know that where there is a hissing cat claws and teeth may follow.
Surviving here OK, I’ve discovered that I don’t like thunder and lightening though. Big scary stuff I could quite happily live without. Still it gives me an excuse to snuggle into the nearest form of human and that can’t be bad.
Other than that I’ve spent the weekend playing a game called cricket with big and small dog human. It’s fun chasing the ball and grabbing it.

The little dog human has somebody who comes round to make him do extra school work some days. I feel sorry for him, he’s had a hard day at this thing called school then he gets extra. Anyway for me that means the female human drags me outside and sits me in her lap and makes a fuss of me. That’s OK, I quite enjoy it but charging around the garden like a small furry rhino is more fun. I get the impression that something strange is up when the older dog human arrives home from the library early. He makes a fuss of the cat called Katie who you can see in the pic here (I wanna be friends but I’m not so certain she wants to). That’s fine by me. Then stranger things happen.
- I get bundled into the cat carrier that they made me travel in to this place from my original home in Derby. First thought is I’m being dognapped but that can’t be the case because I’m at the new home already.
- They put me in the cat carrier in the back of the car with little dog human.
- I learn a new word, Vet. I get taken out of the box and this is where the indignities begin, the vet plays with my bits, shoves a thermometer up my bum and jabs me with a needle. Naturally I object to the latter but manage to resist the temptation to flash him the teeth. This proves a good move when I get a couple of dog biscuits as a reward for being good. Then I get weighed, what next? Weight watchers?
- Back in the box, back in the car, off to a place referred to as the No Mercy wherupon the little dog human and female human leave me in the car in the arms of the big dog human. Whereupon I kip for a bit before back in the box and back to the house.
What was that all about?

So last night they make sleep in the kitchen. I was half expecting the cat
they keep in the gaff to turn out to be my fairy godmother and drag along a pumpkin and a couple of mice. Naturally I voiced my objections, why not take me upstairs to a comfy warm bed? I think the humans might be a bit mutt because none of them came until round 4.00 am. Then the big human dog shoves me outside and is still pleased at the fact that I can go to the toilet. Little things….
Most of the day was spent playing with the humans. Fave tools so far are the rope bone and some sort of fawn cuddly toy that looks like a sausage and squeeks when you bite it right.
Food here is fine if not particularly imaginitive. Put it this way, I’m not on a steak diet.
